It functions as a passive hub or "brick" that simplifies field wiring and protects the network segment from localized electrical faults.Key Technical SpecificationsPort Configuration: It features 10 spur drops (device ports) and 2 dedicated trunk connections for the main home-run network cable.Built-in Terminator: The F259 includes an integrated fieldbus terminator. This eliminates the need for an external terminator at the end of the segment, making it ideal for star or "chicken-foot" network topologies. It is clearly marked with a large "T" on the housing for easy troubleshooting.
