The Allen-Bradley 1785-L40C/E is a PLC-5/40C Series E processor module designed by Rockwell Automation for high-performance automation systems using the ControlNet (Phase 1.25) communication protocol. This controller features 48K words of battery-backed SRAM memory and is capable of managing up to 2048 total I/O points across distributed architectures.Lifecycle Alert: Rockwell Automation officially discontinued this series on July 31, 2017. Because it is no longer available new from the manufacturer, it must be sourced through aftermarket channels, surplus vendors, or industrial repair companies.
